DAY 1 

VICTORIA FALLS, ZAMBIA

On arrival at Livingstone airport , you will be met and transferred to Waterberry Zambezi Lodge.  Waterberry Zambezi Lodge is surrounded by green foliage, colourful flowers and rolling lawns with thatched cottages scattered around the manicured gardens.  The main lodge and restaurant open to views of the Zambezi flowing past.  The setting is so peaceful and relaxing that you will not want to leave.  In the afternoon, head out on one of the many activities available at the lodge.

VICTORIA FALLS

Explore Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River with a number of activities included with your stay at Waterberry Zambezi Lodge. ​ Take a guided tour of the falls and witness this natural wonder up close. A sunset cruise, drifting down the Zambezi into the setting sun, camera in hand, with sundowners and snacks, is a popular activity on most afternoons and is a great way to explore one of the world's great rivers.

VICTORIA FALLS

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out to explore everything Victoria Falls has to offer. Expert guides will take you around the Waterberry riverbank and woodland areas to see our amazing collection of birds or book one of the many activities in Victoria Falls, from helicopter and microlight flights, Livingstone Island tours, canoeing, rhino tracking or full-day trips to Chobe National Park.

In the afternoon cruise to one of our local sandy islands for a champagne picnic, served by your personal butler, and an afternoon spent lazing, just watching the river go by and listening to the sounds of nature. When the river is high, and the islands are submerged, your picnic may be substituted for a lunchtime cruise.

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Livingstone Airport for your light aircraft flight to Kafue National Park.

 

At 22,500 square kilometres, Kafue National Park is Zambia's largest and oldest national park. Established in the 1950's by Norman Carr this vast wilderness is largely unexplored.

 

The park is home to the big five and is known for delivering fantastic leopard sightings. While wildlife density might be less than in other national parks, the species diversity is spectacular. Kafue offers the chance to view more than 22 antelope species, including large herds of red lechwe and puku and rare species such as blue and yellow-backed duiker, sitatunga and sable.

Head out on an afternoon game drive looking for the areas wildlife.

DAY 4 

DAY 5 

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK 

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, looking for the wildlife that call Kafue National Park home. 

Ila Safari Lodge has a strong focus on responsible tourism and utilises both an electric vehicle and boat that are solar powered . The solar boat allows you to cruise the waters of the Kafue River waiting birds dive for fish, crocodiles bask in the sun and elephants splash in the shallows.

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy game drives and boat cruises. In between motorised safari activities, your guide will offer you the chance to go on a walking safari. A walking safari allows you to slow down to nature’s pace as your knowledgeable guide leads you through the bush on foot. Being on foot really immerses you in Kafue's beautiful and biodiverse landscapes and allows you to appreciate the small and intimate details of the bush.

6 & 7 

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy your last morning game drive in Kafue National Park before heading back to the airstrip for your flight back to Livingstone or  Lusaka for your onward arrangements.
