DAY 1 

ARUSHA

On arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be met and transferred to Lemala Hamerkop House. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Hamerkop House is a beautiful private house managed exclusively by Lemala Camps and Lodges. It is located on a wildlife and golf estate halfway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha. It offers a great place to start or finish your safari. 

 

Beautiful garden locations provide a stunning location to enjoy sundowner cocktails. You can take a walk to and enjoy spectacular sundowners with Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro as your backdrop.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before being transferred to Arusha airport for your flight to Tarangire National Park.  On arrival, you will be met by the camp’s vehicle and enjoy a shared game drive en route to the camp for lunch.

 

Tarangire is most famous for its giant baobabs, a network of swamps, and large herds of elephants rumoured to be the largest population in Tanzania.  Enjoy an afternoon game drive looking for the area's wildlife

DAY 3 

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with the opportunity to partake in an optional morning bush walk. Tarangire Mpingo Ridge offers the opportunity to participate in night drives which provides the perfect way to try and spot some of the exclusive nocturnal species.

NGORONGORO CRATER

After a morning game drive, fly by light aircraft to Lake Manyara airstrip and then transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation area for your overnight at Lemala Ngorongoro. The afternoon is yours at leisure to enjoy the beautiful location and forest setting.

 

Your camp is set in a stunning ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Lemala Ngorongoro offers a quick and easy drive down to the crater floor, and guests at Lemala Ngorongoro usually gain an hour’s head start over other lodges descending into the crater.

DAY 4 

DAY 5 

NGORONGORO CRATER

This morning you are in for a treat as you descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full day exploring and meeting the estimated 25,000 large mammals that call the extinct volcanic caldera home.  Your game drive starts as early as 6.15am and within 10-15 minutes you will have descended from the crater rim at 2,400 metres to crater floor below, a 600 hundred metre drop in altitude . A picnic lunch is provided at a scenic location and spending the full day gives you the best chance of spotting the big five.  A particular highlight is finding the highly endangered black rhino, with approximately 16 of these incredible animals calling Ngorongoro Crater home your chances are fairly good.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to Serengeti National Park. Upon landing, you will be picked up and transferred by road to Lemala Nanyukie, approximately 60 minutes east of the airstrip. The journey to the camp is a game drive in itself, and you are very likely to start spotting animals on the way. Arrive in time for lunch, and settle into your accommodation before heading out on an afternoon game drive. 

 

Lemala Nanyukie is your home for the next two nights. This luxury Serengeti camp is superbly located and provides incredible views of the Serengeti's endless plains and the nearby rocky kopjes close by.

DAY 6 

DAY 7 

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Explore one of the world's most famous national parks with morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti abounds with wildlife, with approximately two million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards and 500 cheetahs; the game viewing is simply superb. The area around Lemala Nanyukie is very well known for its large concentration of cats. So much so that this area, until recently, was set aside for scientific research into predator behaviour.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Morning game drive before flying from Kogatende airstrip to Lobo airstrip in the northern section of the Serengeti. Transfer to Lemala Kuria Hills, your home for the next two nights. Lemala Kuria Hills is remotely located in a scenic region famed for its grassy rolling hills and open woodland. The proximity to the Masai Mara means that the lodge is perfectly positioned within the main corridor of the wildebeest migration between July and October. Fifteen glass-fronted suites provide the ultimate in luxury accommodation and offer incredible views of hills and the open savannah of the Serengeti.

DAY 9 

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Soak up your last day in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives.  The game viewing in the northern Serengeti is much less crowded than in other parts of the park, and with strong wildlife numbers, it makes for an incredible wilderness experience and great way to finish your Tanzania safari.
