Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, walk straight across to the Intercontinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, a luxurious and convenient retreat after your long-haul flight. Opt to relax with a couples’ massage or unwind with a drink at the Quills Bar before a restful evening. Enjoy a gourmet dinner in the hotel restaurant or order room service and toast the beginning of your African honeymoon from the comfort of your room. Tomorrow, your safari adventure begins. Tonight is all about recovering, recharging, and celebrating the start of a trip you’ll remember forever.

SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE


After breakfast, board your flight to the world-renowned Sabi Sands Game Reserve. A short transfer brings you to Elephant Plains Game Lodge, nestled in the heart of Big Five territory. Check into your romantic suite with a private deck and sweeping bushveld views. This afternoon, head out on your first game drive with expert rangers and trackers where you may spot elephants, lions, or even a leopard on the prowl. Return after dark to a fire-lit dinner under the stars. With the night sounds of the bush surrounding you, your safari romance truly begins.

SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE


Wake to birdsong and hot coffee before heading out early morning drive which offers some of the best wildlife sightings. watch giraffes browse in golden light or lions finishing a night time hunt. After a hearty breakfast, spend the midday hours relaxing by the pool or in the comfort of your room.  In the afternoon, set off on another game drive, with the possibility of witnessing unforgettable wildlife moments as the bush comes alive in the golden afternoon light. Return to camp for sundowners and a three-course dinner, sharing stories by lantern light as the stars light up the sky.

CAPE TOWN


After your last morning game drive exploring the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, transfer to Skukuza Airport for your flight to Cape Town. On arrival, you will be met and driven to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the bustling heart of this vibrant city. You will spend the next four nights at the Winchester hotel, where historic charm ​meets modern elegance, offering stylish rooms ​in an oceanfront ​location. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy ​beautiful Cape Town.

CAPE PENINSULA


Today you’ll journey along the breath-taking Cape Peninsula. Drive Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most scenic coastal roads. Visit Boulders Beach to see its famous colony of African penguins waddling across the sand. Continue to Cape Point, where dramatic cliffs and crashing waves mark the tip of Africa before a visit to nearby Simon’s Town. Return to Cape Town for a relaxing evening at leisure. This full-day adventure will leave you in awe of South Africa’s natural beauty.

CAPE TOWN


The next ​t​wo days are yours to enjoy Cape Town at your own pace, with a two-day pass for the Hop-On Hop-Off City Sightseeing Bus included to make exploring easy and flexible. This open-top bus is a great way to discover Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks, from natural wonders to cultural treasures.


Here are some experiences we recommend:


Ride the cable car to the top of Table Mountain; Wander through Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden; Join a guided walking tour of the historic city centre; Shop and dine at the lively V&A Waterfront; Relax by the ocean in Camps Bay; Sample wines in Constantia, Cape Town’s oldest wine region; Take a ferry to Robben Island, Nelson Mandela’s former prison; Hike Lion’s Head for a sunrise or sunset with panoramic views.

VICTORIA FALLS


This morning, bid farewell to Cape Town and take a flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to Old Drift Lodge, a stylish and intimate safari camp located along the banks of the Zambezi River. Your luxurious suite includes a private plunge pool with indoor-outdoor flow especially designed for couples. After settling in, enjoy a sunset river cruise, potentially spotting elephants, hippos, and crocodiles along the banks. Toast the day with a drink in hand as the sky turns orange and pink. Back at camp, dine by lantern light under the stars. Welcome to the wild romance of the Zambezi.

VICTORIA FALLS


Enjoy two full days soaking up the magic of the Victoria Falls region with several included activities. Join a guided walking tour of the Falls, feeling the spray and marvelling at the thunderous cascades. Back at camp, enjoy a long lunch and unwind on your deck or by the pool. You’ll also have the chance to go on a game drive in Zambezi National Park, a guided bush walk, or another relaxing river cruise.


You can also choose from a range of optional activities such as a full day trip to Chobe National Park, a scenic helicopter flight over the falls or for a real adrenaline hit; white-water rafting, bungee jumping or zip-lining.
