DAY 1
KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
Upon your arrival at Lusaka Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you by road to Mukambi Safari Lodge, where a refreshing tea break awaits to kickstart your adventure. The afternoon is filled with exciting activities designed to immerse you into the Kafue wilderness. Choose between a mesmerising sunset boat cruise that promises picturesque views of the landscape or embark on an afternoon game drive to start looking for the Kafue's abundant wildlife.

KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will embark on a game drive that will take you from Mukambi Safari Lodge to the idyllic Fig Tree Bush Camp. Upon arrival at Fig Tree Bush Camp, indulge in a sumptuous brunch before heading out on an afternoon safari activity. As the day transitions to evening head back to camp where you will enjoy dinner under the canopy of stars and listen to the sounds of the bush at night. On Day 3 enjoy morning and afternoon game drives.

BUSANGA PLAINS
Say goodbye to Fig Tree Bush camp as you are transferred by game drive to the renowned Busanga Plains which is only accessible during the dry season when the flood waters dissipate and leave behind an open savannah grassland that is one of Africa's great secrets. Head out for an afternoon game drive to start exploring the area.

DAY 4
DAY 5
BUSANGA PLAINS
Enjoy two days at the beautiful Busanga Plains Camp exploring with daily morning and afternoon game drives.
The Busanga Plains is a unique wetland ecosystem that spans 720 km², featuring palm groves, dense papyrus reed beds, and lily-filled lagoons that support a rich array of African wildlife and bird species. Visitors can spot lions, cheetahs, African buffalo, hippos, oribi, roan antelope, lechwe, zebras, blue wildebeest, and large herds of elephants. With over 500 bird species recorded, Busanga is a true haven for birdwatchers

DAY 6
DAY 7
KAFUE NATIONAL PARK
Return south by game drive to Mukambi Safari Lodge, watching the landscapes shift from open floodplains to riverine forest. Arrive for a leisurely brunch and some downtime before choosing to toast the day with a sunset cruise or a final afternoon game drive in search of leopard, elephant and spirited predator–prey encounters. This evening, gather around the fire for stories beneath the stars and a relaxed dinner to salute your time in Kafue.

DEPARTURE
Make the most of your last morning with a game drive or guided bush walk, capturing final photographic moments in the soft early light. If time allows, you can try a short catch-and-release fishing session on the river or visit the community school for a meaningful glimpse into local life (subject to availability). Return to the lodge to freshen up, enjoy a late breakfast and pack at an easy pace before your private road transfer back to Lusaka.
