Enjoy a full morning and picnic lunch in the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the natural wonders of the world. The volcanic caldera of Ngorongoro offers spectacular game viewing in the crater. We can almost guarantee you four of the Big Five will show up, as well as a rich variety of birds, all viewed against the backdrop of the thickly forested crater walls. Varied terrains and dramatic landscapes consisting of forest, grasslands and both freshwater and soda lakes make the Ngorongoro Crater a true marvel of creation

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Explore one of the world's most famous national parks with morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti abounds with wildlife, with approximately two million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards and 500 cheetahs; the game viewing is simply superb. The area around Lemala Nanyukie is very well known for its large concentration of cats. So much so that this area, until recently, was set aside for scientific research into predator behaviour.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti for the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Stop for a picnic lunch viewing wildlife across the vast Serengeti plains before continuing to your lodge, set high on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro Serena is a unique lodge that clings to the rim of the crater, the largest and most perfect volcanic crater on Earth. Long and low, the lodge is built from local river stone and camouflaged with indigenous vines.

DEPARTURE
A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World’s largest natural wildlife arena. After an early breakfast, drive to the crater entry gate and descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. A truly unique wildlife experience. A picnic lunch box is served near a pond populated with hippos. Spend the day exploring the crater and meeting the wildlife of the area.
