Settle into your lodge and your beautiful river-facing room, home for the next four nights. After lunch and perhaps an afternoon siesta, head out for your first game drive. TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
Over the next three nights, settle into safari life with morning and afternoon game drives, with the middle of the day focussed on some important relaxation.
Timbavati game drives occur in the early morning and late afternoon when the animals are naturally most active. Key to the experience is your English-speaking guide, who works closely with a tracker from the local Shangaan community. This duo pool their knowledge, expertise and fresh observations to maximise your wildlife sightings.

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley dominate the landscape. Known for its birdlife, the park, with the right climatic conditions, offers the possibility to view thousands of flamingoes feeding in the shallow alkaline lake.
While not a large national park, Lake Nakuru is incredibly scenic and has several unique wildlife sightings that make it a worthwhile visit, including good chances of finding black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, continue south towards the Tanzania border and then on to Arusha for lunch. After lunch, you will depart Arusha and pass through the Maasai Steppe, filled with picturesque African villages and coffee and banana plantations. Arrive at Tarangire National Park, enter the park, and begin exploring with a game drive as you slowly make your way to the lodge arriving for dinner.
Tarangire is most famous for its giant baobabs, a network of swamps, and large herds of elephants rumoured to be the largest population in Tanzania. It is less known for a yearly secret migration where masses of wildlife are drawn to the Tarangire River during the dry season as it remains the last viable water source for miles.
