DAY 1

Kigali


Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide, who will assist with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure—relax and unwind after your journey or venture out to explore Kigali’s vibrant streets. Consider browsing local markets, visiting charming cafés, or simply soaking up the city’s unique blend of tradition and modernity. Your accommodation offers a comfortable and convenient base, perfectly setting the tone for the remarkable journey ahead.

AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK


Kick-start your day by embarking on a picturesque drive to Akagera National Park, where you'll arrive just in time for a sumptuous lunch. Following this, prepare for an enthralling afternoon game drive in the park. Akagera National Park is a story of remarkable recovery and sucessful conservation with the reintroducation of wildlife, successful anti-poaching efforts, and habitat restoration. These initiatives has transformed Akagera into a thriving wildlife sanctuary

DAY 2

DAY 3

AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK


Today, immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Akagera National Park with both morning and afternoon game drives, offering exceptional wildlife encounters throughout the day. Between drives, enjoy a tranquil boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you'll take in sweeping views and observe an array of birdlife, including resident waterfowl and other aquatic species.

As the sun sets, return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Akagera is home to an impressive diversity of wildlife—including the Big Five—set against a backdrop of rolling savannahs, misty mountains, and lush wetlands. It’s a true sanctuary for nature lovers, photographers, and conservation-minded travellers alike.

DAY 7

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, continue south towards the Tanzania border and then on to Arusha for lunch. After lunch, you will depart Arusha and pass through the Maasai Steppe, filled with picturesque African villages and coffee and banana plantations.  Arrive at Tarangire National Park, enter the park, and begin exploring with a game drive as you slowly make your way to the lodge arriving for dinner.

Tarangire is most famous for its giant baobabs, a network of swamps, and large herds of elephants rumoured to be the largest population in Tanzania. It is less known for a yearly secret migration where masses of wildlife are drawn to the Tarangire River during the dry season as it remains the last viable water source for miles.

LAKE ELEMENTAITA

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley dominate the landscape. Lunch will be a picnic stop en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the afternoon and head out on a game drive. Known for its birdlife, the park, with the right climatic conditions, offers the possibility to view thousands of flamingoes feeding in the shallow alkaline lake.

 

While not a large national park, Lake Nakuru is incredibly scenic and has several unique wildlife sightings that make it a worthwhile visit, including good chances of finding black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.
